Hi Ben. Will's right, it will not live indoors. What you should do with it now that the snow has come to Ontario is put it in an unheated garage, a shed or bury the pot in the ground. There's a lot of resources here if you us the search feature and look up winter protection.
Not sure where in Ont you're from but here's a couple of articles relevant to Ontario winters. http://www.fourseasonsbonsai.com/ar...nterprotect.pdf http://www.rgbonsai.com/wintering.htm |

i do the exact same thing. window wells make perfect cold frames. just make sure to open up the plexi-glass on warmer days (30 and above) or really sunny days, and keep a continual supply of snow on top of the pot so that the tree has moisture. if you are worried about the tree getting too cold you could fill the window well with mulch for insulation.

Should be
![]() The moisture content in juniper roots is pretty low and as such their is probably more minerals and substances dissolved in the roots, which would cause it to freeze at a much lower temperature. |

Yeah watering it now would not be a good idea because water could get into the little spaces in the soil. Then when that water freezes, ice expands and it will crush the roots of the juniper
