Elms and as a novice have tried to find out the answer to this question. First, you need to know which type of Ch. Elm you have, there are numerous varieties and the temp requirements are different. As for mine, I have kept them in an unheated garage in Zone 5b/6a with no problems. This past winter the Temp in the garage dipped to the low teens for a day or two. I do have an under shelf heater that prevents the temp from going to low. __________________ A Bonsai student living with his trees at N 44.37 W 77.49...
