Serrisa in Winter

Hi I was just wondering if anyone could enlighten me on what happens to bonsai especially my serrisa in winter time. *Should it lose it's leaves in Autumn then regain them in spring like most trees. *I live in the UK and my bonsai is indoors and has started to lose it's leaves, well they are turning yellow anyrate. *I water it every 2 days and mist occasionaly. *Could anyone help cheers Mark

You can keep Serissa outdoors during winter, but it will need some protection if the weather drops well below freezing.
When exposed to cold, the tree will go into deciduous mode and shed its leaves. Serissas, it seems, sometimes look for any excuse to drop their leaves: :

Some growers overwinter indoors. This is one of the few bonsai that can be grown indoors with a reasonable success rate even by beginners.

Be sure to cut back on your watering after leaf drop, in any case. The water demands go down pretty significantly when the plant isn't active.
