oceanica bonsaiTALK Neophyte Join Date: Mar-2008 Location: midwest Country: usa Posts: 2	satsuki question Hi I live in Zone 5 heat zone 6. I would like to try satsuki, but it just gets too cold here even with winter protection. My question: I have an orchid greenhouse that in winter is about 55 F at night and about 70 F daytime, humidity runs about 50%...can I over winter satsuki in these conditions?

mike108 bonsaiTALK Master Craftsman Join Date: Jul-2006 Location: Sylmar California Country: USA USDA Zone: 8-9 AHS Heat Zone: 9 Posts: 925	Ive read satsukis can do 15 F but they dont like heat over 85 F for too long. So you can overwinter in your greenhouse and it be ok. Mike
