Hi Tiny Tree! I live in Denver too. I built a miniature Greenhouse that is in the shade 90% of the time. I just modified my display stand with more 2x4's and plastic sheeting. I mulched in my trees and put a 40 watt lightbulb by my azalea. The temperature in there hasn't gone below 20 and yesterday it got up to 45. I'm going to bring in my Azalea tonight because it's suppose to get down to 0º - -4º. Buy my junipers, pines, boxwoods, spruce, willows, Hinoki's and anything else i have will be fine. I would suggest doing that. This is the first year i did this, and my trees have a much better color on them than years past.

Where were you're tree's kept in the past for dormancy?

Thanks

It is make shift. In the winter it is winter protection, in summer it is my display area. In the past years i had everything just sitting up against a fence . If you want pm me and I can come over to help you make one, or you can come over and look at mine. I'll try to take some pictures soon of my winter storage.
