Time to Pot Up Trident?
I have a three year old trident that I'm happy with.
Trunk taper, primary and secondary branches are good. It's been in a cold (35-50 F) attic all winter and it's just starting to bud. It's in a one gallon container. Is this the time to pot it up initially as a bonsai? I know I have to balance top & bottom pruning but do Tridents have an optimal time-frame for initial potting? Thanks |

Now is best. You can cut the roots with no worry's. The engines are started and there no turning back now, once the sap starts to flow, go for it. Bonsaial
