Shortleaf Pine
Here in the Ozarks, we have several species which are quite common and appear to be very good bonsai candidates , but which I haven't seen used alot (or, even, ever). One of them is Pinus echinata (Shortleaf Pine), which reminds me of Japanese Red Pine. There are a number of very nice starter trees available to me; in fact, I have collected seven. Any information that you can provide me about them would be appreciated.
