Omarea X Burkwoodii

Does anyone know about this plant at all? I see it in the local nursery alot, along with in landscaping at the local mall, it looks like ficus wiandii I think, and looks brittle. Does this tree make good bonsai, is it slow or fast grower, backbudder, etc

Is there a Genus to go with that? I'd expect it to be something like

Ficus omarea x burkwoodi or Something-else omarea

Regards

Matt

It looks like a ficus wiandii like i said, however the tags that are on it say only omarea x barkwoodii not ficus omarea etc... the tag also said zone 7, and full sun or partial shade, but not much else....

I recommend you try a google search on osmarea, you will find pictures of osmarea burkwoodii. I believe that this is another name for osmanthus.

If osmarea is not what you were looking at, try a google search on bomarea, a plant that looks somewhat like a fuschia.
