I just bought a juniper nana about 6 inches high. What do i do now? Should i repot it? when should i pinch or prune it?How often do i water and mist it?Should i leave it outside all the time even in the real cold winter and in the hot summer? Also if there is anything else you can think of i didnt ask your advice would be much apreciated. thanks.

Re: New Juniper what do i do now?

Hi newbie and welcome. Please go to the beginner section and read the juniper thread and the too cold thread. Do not do anythng till you know what you are doing!! Tell us more about your tree. Where is it now, inside or out? Where do you live? Is there glued on material on the top of the soil? etc etc

Re: New Juniper what do i do now?

The north...is that Northern Maine where the temps go way way down or are you not that far north. I and others will not visit. We need to know the zone you are in for the likely success of the tree. As for the "Bonsai Pebbles" are they glued down. If they are they got to go!!!!! remove them carefully. This is only the ones that are glued on. As for it being outside thats great but it should be sheltered from the wind. There are many fine threads on this site, and other sites, that can help you. As for me I'm going to bed and will check back tomorrow!
