hibiscus bonsai

i have had a flaming wind (deep red) hibiscus for over a year now. i have been slowly cutting it back trying to find it's shape. it is a very forgiving indoor specimen. i have not been able to find very much literature on hibiscus bonsai. anyone here attempted this before. i haven't wired it yet, or root pruned for a smaller pot, i will post a picture soon. please let me know if you have any leads or ideas. thanks.

Walters is nice but the best ones(hibiscus) I have ever seen are located in the galleries of this website and some at the IBC forums aswell.I would love more than anything to inherit an old specimen tree like these in Taiwan to maintain.

Wes,

The Hibiscus that the taiwanese do so well is a completely different species than the common hibiscus chinensis we see as flowering plants in the US.They are incredibley beautiful.

lol taiwanese?

Yeah, hibiscus aren't traditional bonsai species because their flowers are so large, but if you do one in large size then that problem can be somewhat mitigated
