General Care of Leucophyllum

Hey Guys,
I just acquired a sweet Leucophyllum frutescens (Texas Sage).
Any words of wisdom as to it's care?
I don't find it listed on any of the species care guides of the bonsai sites
Thanks

I saw a few links here:

Good luck. Looks like an interesting plant!

Re: General Care of Leucophyllum

Good for you. I don't know where you live, but here in Arizona we use Leucophyllum as one of our best bonsai materials. It loves the 115 degree heat. Flowers like an azaelia (we sure can't grow them in the desert). I have picked them out of landscape overhaul trash sites, potted them, and in no time they are wonderful. Quick draining soil is good. They don't mind root pruning. They need to be pinched back frequently. Good luck.
