Chinesieus Elmeus
In another thread of mine asking for advice on a suitable first bonsai tree for more of an indoor environment, I got a lot of replies suggesting a Chinese Elm. Are there many different species of Chinese Elm or is it just the Ulmus parvifolia that I have come across.
Sorry for the redudancy with this question but i figured i'd post it in the right place this time. Thanks.

I think there are different varieties - corkbark, variegated, margin, but so far as I know, all the Chinese Elms are the same species, with the exception of the zelkovas that someone said were deliberately mislabeled to skirt import restrictions
However, I don't remember if they were labeling Zelkovas as Chinese Elm or vice versa. Cultivation wise, they are all very similar. I have found the cork bark elms to be more fragile. Regards, Matt
