Ozzerbon, Are you suggesting a Raft style with the 3rd tree? If so, I don't think this tree really suits itself to that style. I do think if shortened a bit it would make a nice formal upright in the future. Once I wire it up I will post it again and see what you think.
Jonathan, thank you for the advice, I do appreciate it. I had a chance to lift both trees from the pots this past winter to inspect the roots. Everything looked awesome and the trees are in great health, putting on tons of new growth. I don't think styling will be that dangerous considering the health of the trees. And the trees were dug about year and a half ago. I will atleast go in and clean out the mojority of the dead stuff leaving a few stubs for potentail jins.
