The branch on the left is quite thick, and this was how far we could bend it with a single 5mm wire. I didn't want to stress the tree to much, and I think it looks good like this aswell.

Haven't really thought about that. I'm just trying to keep the tree healthy right now. I've had some dieback on some branches. Mostly due to clumsy wiring on my part
, but right now I get a lot of new buds so I think I'm ok. I'm open for pot suggestions.

I'm fortunate indeed because Marc lives about a 1 1/2 hour drive from here so I guess I will get another chance to work with him. We visited the Noelanders award this year which was very good too. I bought this yew at the nursery of Ruud Lagas where the workshop was held. I paid 70 Euro's for it. I think 1 US$ is now about 99 eurocents so that would be about $70 ? I don't know if you can compare the Euro and the $ like this. Maybe we should compare the prices of say a hamburger at McDonalds to see what they are really worth...

No, not really. Maybe I had a lot more foliage in the beginning, but now I have a pre-bonsai instead of a bush. :-)
