My black pine has mealy bugs but I really can only see the coton left by the bug and no bug. I have picked off the coton fluff and looked at it with a magnifing glass. No bug. Could they be gone? Or do they cling to the tree?
I just tried out 50% alcohol and 50% water injected the infected areas using a syringe. I have pyrthin if I absolutely need this but I would rather not.
Any thoughts about the apparently absent bug
or method on killing it??
