The Annual Nursery Crawl w/ Badger Bonsai

I went along on the nursery crawl to Moyer's Nursery in Stoughton, WI, with the Badger Bonsai Society.

When I arrived at the nursery I had no idea what I was going to end up with getting. After strolling around for a hour or so, I asked the owner where is unsightly trees and shrubs were. He said "Way in the back, I put them there because nobody want to see those, you can't miss 'em". Most of everything there was stone dead, but in the middle of the 'pile' were two very nice looking Northern Lights Azaleas, which are very hardy here. And they were still alive.
After finding, in my opinion, the best of the 'ugly', I went on to the shrubs on display near the front of the nursery. There I found a very nice Birds Nest Spruce, which I will be taking to the Bring Your Own workshop.

I have never worked on any Azaleas before sugestions are more that welcome.
