Yello leaves
Hello,
I'm a fanatic in growing plants in -and outdoors and recently bought a bonsai (Zelkova Schneidria). Some 2 weeks ago I reshaped my bonsai because it was growinging furiously and became very messy and lost it's shape. After a week some leaves, and quite a lot to my opinion, where starting to get yellow and fall of. Some new growth is shown at some branches that I cut, but still leaves turn yellow and fall of.
My bonsai stands at the south side of my room and gets a lot of sun (I'm livin in The Netherlands) but the light is a little bit tempered by plants that stand in front of the bonsai. I spray water over the leaves every day and make sure that the soil is never dry.
My question now is whether it is a normal reaction of my bonsai that leaves turn yellow and fall of after trimming it or if something else may be wrong.
Thanks and greetz, coillur
