1. Tap water should be fine

2. You can try it indoors, but a lot of trees bake in windows or simply don't get enough light

3. Gettings some larger stones would be a good idea. The pot should be resting on its feet in order to drain well.

4. There shouldn't be any problem with misting in the morning. That goes for mid-day or late afternoon, too.
