Walter,

It is a shame, but I understand your position.

I have held back many times posting trees in this thread, simply because I have only recently got a Camera/Backdrop set-up I am happy with.

Quite frankly, I have been shocked at some of the Material and Photographic standards that you have been asked to comment on.

Given we have a large amount of new members, I would also ask quite politely, that they still acquire more basic instruction from books or use the "search" function above to settle a lot of basic queries. I myself, are more than happy to help when possible, but one has to be aware, most people who frequent this site do so in what little spare time they have and should not be burdened with answering questions that have been covered many, many times before.

Could members please bear this in mind for any future "Ask the master" re-incarnation. - yes read the rules !!

Perhaps in the meantime, please take "Quality" pictures of "Quality" trees and post them on to Matt for use in Tree Of the Day.

He can then vet them, and post up the ones he deems suitable. I am hoping the weather is good this weekend so I can get good photographs of a few of mine for critique.

The TOTD thread just gets better and better, and ONLY if you are prepared to take critisism and a little praise - then let the regular members spread the load a little off Walter. I am not saying any advice will be correct or to Walters standards, but at least we will all get various options for a trees "possible" future.

Meantime, once again, I would like to personally thank Walter for his efforts and sincerely hope he will be able to contribute to this site as and when possible.

Best Wishes to all,
Ian.
