Congrats on the camera. The camera usually isn't the expensive part. It's the huge monitor, photo printer, cd-rom burner and memory upgrade that set you back. And did I mention the case, memory cards, batteries, extra lens, charger, bigger case, CD ROM wallet, HI-Q paper, ink and frames?
I never bothered with the bundled software for any of the digital cameras I've had. And I've used six. Download a trial copy of paint shop pro from
www.jasc.com and you'll probably ashcan that stuff too.
I'm sure you'll be taking plenty of cool pictures for the forum, so pass my appreciation along to your wife. I know you're going to be spending some of those NASCAR weekends at the ballet or doing chores to work this one off.
