Burt Davyi Ficus Trunk Chop?

Hello all you out there in bonsai land.

This is the only one of my burt davyi ficus that does not have the black spots, or any pests at all.

I want to start developing this little guy, about 6 inchs tall.
The red lines are what I want to get rid of.
The pink oval is where I want to perform the trunk chop, What type of cut would be best? Straight, angle (if so what angle), "V"?

Thanks guys and gals

-Paul
