noone said you had to use the wire, and im pretty sure ebay is not where we go to see fine bonsai ...
I have seen bonsai (in the training stage) tied with twine, held into shape with iron bars, with duct tape, with glue and wound healer in every possible colour. Wire is for training too, not for finished bonsai..as i understand and correct me if i am wrong but a bonsai is not usually displayed at a show with wire. whats the harm in using wire you can easily see. It would make you take more notice of when it starts to bite in and Im sure you wouldnt leave a bit on by mistake.
If it helps me make my trees into better bonsai...im all for it no matter what the colour is..but you know what, now i really want some pink polka dot wire (thanks tony

Im not saying wire your show quality trees in it, but for training I think its a pretty good idea...
