I'm with Adam on this. His virtual is exactly the way I would go as well. Good job Adam.

The bonsai has good taper, base, ramification, and foliage pads....all in the upper part. While the cascade branch is healthy looking, it doesn't add to the attributes of the top, rather it distracts from them. For that reason I feel it should be removed.

Obviously, a different pot is called for in that case. Unglazed, oval, or soft-cornered rectangle. The tree off-set to the left (significantly).
