BAD IDEA!!! I learned this lesson the hard way.. Once you put out nuts (even far away from your house) they will soon start to invite their buddies over for a feast. Then if you stop feeding them, or when there are too many for you to keep up with your food supply they will start to come to your door. I had this happen to me and had an entire population of gray squirls that would sit on my deck and wait for me to open the door. I was once attacked (not literally) when I opened the door and 4 squirls ran into my house in a frenzy looking for food.
Man my dog had a great time that day!
