Which pot?
Hello everyone,
Repotting time is near for this little neea buxifolia, and it is now time to make the decision on which pot to use. I have narrowed it down to three quality pots. I believe that the tree will be able to fit in all three pots, but after bare-rooting it, I may be wrong.
The first pot (left side) was given to me from Dale Cochoy. He handthrew this pot on a wheel, a rather difficult task given the size. The pot in the center was purchased at this year's Taikan-ten show. It has the highest monitary value of the three, but is also the smallest. It was handmade by an unknown Japanese potter who passed away many years back. The last pot (right side), a present from Ben Oki,was slip casted and hand signed by Uyematsu Tosui, a Japanese potter who works/worked for Yamaguchi, a company known for their tea ceramics. In my opinion, all three pots would work well with the tree, but I cannot decide which would be best. The tree was originally intended for the pot by Dale Cochoy, but after later aquiring the other two pots, I am completely undecided on which would be best for the tree.
I am interested in everyone's opinions on which pot I should use. Comments on the tree are also welcome.
