Wow thats cool . !983 I wasn't quite there yet . Did you meet Ko or Mas. Two of our founders are still alive and well in there late 80's and still working as japanese gardeners.

Might interest you to know we have allmost 400 members now and a very active program. We have a grant program for members to get advanced training to qualify as teachers for our myriad of beginners and intermediate class
.
We educated about 200 new folks a year thru our beginners class, girl scouts, Japanese friendship garden classes, and local schools.

We also have a world class exibit of bonsai at the "Wild Animal park" an offshoot of the world famous San Diego Zoo.

This spring we wiil have our 80th bonsai exhibit for the general public that draws about 3000 people. LOts of fun.

Everyone is welcome, 2nd sunday of the month.
