thank you adam...I think you are right it is a plain old english oak and we will have to wait and see on the potential thing. It has been neglected in its bag for years but i plan to put it into a box this spring. not a good time of the year for showing trees for me
Matt - yes grow bags are very common from what i have seen but we get some plastic pots too. The white grow bags are a little more unusual than the black. The reason i am told is so the roots dont heat up as much. She plants alot of european trees in white bags. The bigger plants/trees get bags as they are easier to remove than if they were in plastic pots. Some people just cut down the sides a few times and plant the whole thing - plastic and all in the ground...
