Hi Fred,
The Princess Persimmon is Diospyros rhombifolia, native to China, (not Diospyros kaki - Japanese Persimmon) Japanese Persimmon has larger fruit and MUCH larger leaves. "Kaki" is the general word for persimmon in Japanese. Princess Persimmon is called Rouya-gaki. You can see more links here:
