This is a very interesting thread. Thank you, TreeBay. I have grown a number of American Persimmons from seed. Diospyros virginiana, I think (I've misplaced my field guide). I guess you are working with Diospyros kaki, if I'm not mistaken. I got some negative comments on another site about the American species, but I an persisting. We have alot of them in the woods here and they look like pretty good material to me. The seedlings are growing very rapidly and look much like what you are working with. I hope they progress as well as yours are.
