Being in the bonsai retailing business is really tough, as we all know. At the same time, for someone who is passionate about bonsai, running a business like this must be infinitely rewarding.

Could you share with us your thoughts on what would it take to make a nursery like this successful in the long term. Maybe you had a chance to talk to the owners about this.
Not too many survive beyond the first five years, unless they have other means of subsidising the operation, or they are very good on the business side, in addition to enjoying creating bonsai.
