I have just bought a Bougainvillea hoping to train it as bonsai.
My question is that now the Bougainvillea is blowsoming red flowers and is about 1 meter high, the trunk is still very think less than 1cm thik.

how should I start

1) should I remove all flowers?
2) should I chop it now or put it in a training pot?
3) should I tim branches for the trunk to grow thick faster?
4) does the Bougainvillea like acid soil like azalea?
