Al, that makes sense to me. If you have the design all worked out in detail, and have had the chance to match pot to tree before buying it, then not so risky after all.

You have more patience than I do Al. Faced with a three year wait and driving 500 miles, I would go the easy route and get one commissioned. I have found that finding the right pot (size, shape, colour, texture) for some trees is virtually impossible. Of course, sometimes you get lucky.
