Carving with "The Cockney" Mick Sherman

I spent 3 days this week working with my mentor, Mick Sherman. Amongst other work, I took along a large lump of Larch that I had collected sometime ago. Being the trunk had no taper in it at all, in fact it looked remarkably like a telegraph pole, it was decided that the only way to create some false taper and give the tree a remote chance of looking half decent was to get carving.

Once we had decided on what course of action to take, out came the arsenal...
