Well, do you want size or the illusion of size?

Actually a pot that is less broad may make your tree look a lot better. So will training it so that it isn't quites so shrubby, but has a distinct trunk line and defined branching.

On the other hand, putting it into a big pot may make it grow more quickly but look small.
