I find that blasting the foliage weekly will really help with spider mite. They hate water. Just remember to blast acordingly. Adjust the volume of blast to the size of the tree. Don't blow the poor sucker right out of the pot!

I just had a bout of spider mite on a great little juniper. They seem to really like shimpaku and I have about 20 of them. They seem to really like the "best trees" and seem to stay away from the ones you couldn't care less about.

I wonder how they know that?
