I started work on one of these about a year ago. So far, so good. Loro & I are learning together, so I won't try to give you advice on best development ideas for your tree.....We can trade results as time goes on. I'm working on branch trimming to get the new shoot where I want it - Loro has a tendency to send a new shoot out from main/secondary branch juncture instead of the end of secondary branch where I want it....Not always, but enough times to be irritating.

The leaves are reducing as I prune branches.

Observation at the local nursery....Loropetalums bloom on the tips of new growth. While I'm working on the ramification (branch tips grow out 5-7 leaves, I snip 'em off)....no pretty flowers.

But we ARE making progress. I will get back to the flowers in the not too distant future! Maybe I'll let Loro be shaggy next spring....
