Big Black Bugs on my Juniper

Dr Bonsai,
I just purchased a chinese Juniper, and there seems to be big , black bugs ( they look like ticks?) on the tree. I learned this after watering them. What are these? How do I get rid of them? They look different than the previous email (like gnats/mites), so should I still follow the same procedure) soak in water/ a drop of dishwash soap?
