A New Project

A few days ago I was out working on my cypress forest and it finally dawned on me that it is just setting out there with all the other shop trees. All my personal trees are. Just plunked randomly here and there.
They really should be in their own display area. Mentioned this to my wife and SURPRISE she agreed with me.
She has been after me to fix up the deck out back so I though what the heck I'll combine the two projects. Maybe I can sneak more money by her that way ;o)
As many of you know my tastes run to somewhat larger trees. Most of the time I can pick them up but am getting older so they seem to get heaver as time goes by. That cypress forest takes 6 hefty guys to move.
This will mean that my display area will have to be a bit different than most. The trees will for the most part have to be at a working height. A bit lower than the normal viewing height. I will have to figure out a way to make the display stands seem taller or just invite short people over to see them.
Also because the deck will , for the most part, be the display area I will have another problem. Getting even light to the trees. The house after all will put some shade on the deck.
Lots of little problems to solve.
Anyway here is what the old deck looked like till just a while ago. Three men with sledge hammers can break loose a surprising amount of wood. )
I have a few ideas as to what I want to do. Guess time will tell if they work. This is a new area for me to deal with. I have not built a deck before. Thank God some of the people helping me have.
