i agree, but this post isn't about whether or not bonsai is art. There are plenty of those and they mostly say "yes, sometimes." This post was about different sorts of art involving.. well just read the post why don't you? Anyway it was kinda funny, I laughed, <editing, sorry> I was just annoyed that heymikey decided to do exactly what I asked not to be done.
Also, the "dippin' dots" is a rather well-known piece and an example of excellent design. The poster advertisment is a humourous design for a Dada show, maybe you should have looked at the ART. The woman caring for her ant display looks a lot like a bonsai artist leaning over a bench of trees to me. Oh, and the mice boxing aren't much like bonsai, but they are a classic example used in classrooms to discuss the definition of art. It's MEANT to be questionable as art.
As for those people... well performance art has never been my thing either, but it is art, and it is related to bonsai in that it does not exist in full form indefinitely. These are the sorts of things from which an artist might gain insight into what he/she is doing.

Anothing thing <editing again>, look at both collages. Wouldn't you say the different pieces are as different from each other as they are from say, bonsai? Yet, any of these things could probably be found sharing the same website/book/etc. Why could this be? Because they have things in common, which was my only point.
