Nice tree. Are you still collecting these this time of year? I have very good luck in late winter to late spring. about 40% during the fall collection (survival). But never have collected during summers..... just wondering.

A friend of mine has a similar collected larch. He is concidering a future of tucking another smaller tree into the base of the taller one. He will cut a wedge into the area near the base, and fit the smaller tree up against the base. This will "fill" the space needed from the side that is empty. A thought.
