Newbie Help, Please

Hi,

I just received a tree that I purchased from ebay, (I know how all of you feel about ebay, but I learned too late). It is a chinese elm and it is potted sideways with many arial roots out of the soil. I want to straighten the tree but am not sure if I should without causing damage.

I will try to attach a couple of pictures and I will appreciate any and all help. I am a newbie to the camera also, but here goes.

I will wait to see if the picture is there.
