hey, i read your journal, Matt gives great advice all the time so listen to him. But i had juniper just like yours and i left it out during the last winter and it died. It was healthy like yours, but Id since we are from the same area, Id recommend keeping it out of extreme cold and especially freezing rain and snow. Other than these times it should be ok outside or in an unheated garage if you want to be completely protectant.
Also wait till early spring to repot, potting soil would be bad. Junipers dont like to moist all the time. You need something that drains alot better.
