Re: NEW FEATURE: Postcards!

Good question, Earl! No, by using the postcard system you are not kicking your email address into a spambucket.

The postcard system is the same one that has been running a couple of years on the ***GALLERY***. I use the same system for my photography business (www.memobug.com) so folks can email their mugshots around to friends and family. We did fundraisers for a number of pet shelters and that's how I got into it, and it seemed a popular feature so I added it to the ***GALLERY***.

This past Christmas the memobug e-card system was used extensively. I suppose some folks used it instead of sending real greeting cards. The electronic cards reside on the server for a week or two until they are automatically deleted.

Currently, when a card is sent, it appears under a memobug.com logo, which is not really the most appropriate choice for a bonsai postcard. I may try to customize it a bit so it is more bonsai-esque in the future. In any case you can send one to yourself and see what you think.

The recipient will receive an email from the memobug.com postmaster telling him or her "Someone sent you a postcard!", and the message body will contain a link to a page where it can be viewed.

Regards,

Matt
