Defoliating A Forest!

As I logged on I spotted a picture of my Ficus Nerifolia Forest at the top of the page. It was coincidental, since I spent the better part of the afternoon cutting off the leaves of this monster.

The forest weighs close to 45 pounds and lugging it in and out of my green house (my wife named it my "Tree House") is quite a chore for this old codger.

I decided to defoliate the forest and then put it out doors. I did this with two other Ficus and they are doing very well.

I hate to see the leaves of my trees getting sunburned, so I went at it and about an hour and a half later the job was done.

I am letting a single sucker grow and didn't defoliate it, since I may try to air layer it as an experiment.
