In my experience with spidermites, using things as strong and unfriendly as sevin isn't really necessary. I use neem oil for spidermites and just about everything else. It isn't toxic, and I rarely have to use it more than twice before the infestation is controlled. Also, neem oil can also be used on Fukiens without hurting them. It works much like insecticidal soap, but has the added effect of disrupting insects ability to produce firtile eggs. Or, that s how they claim it works.

I personally feel, harsh incesticides should be used as a last result, if at all. And, I live down south were bugs as big as small birds fly around.
