At this point, the tree was slip potted into a 9" bulb pan. The tree was back filled with smaller akadama, and watered in with B-1 water. The tree was also securely tied for the bending to come.
I grasped the tree and started to crank in my turns. As many as the tree would take. In fact I may have put some in it may not take. No pain no gain! The top was twisted and branches were turned into positions where I needed them.
I spent about an hour wireing all the branches that would make up the final design. The tree had pretty good growth for a small juniper and branch selection was fairly easy.
