. Luckily, I have the time to wait. The green elipse encopases a sacrifice branch which was kept to sap flowing to the bud where the future apex will be. The yellow circle shows a branch that was not picked up by the photo. This branch I plan to approach graft to the branch that is circled in blue because this branch has become too leggy and Rob doubts that I will be able to get a back bud. The jin was not in Rob's future drawing, but he agreed with me that it would prevent further reverse taper if I turned it into a jin. By the way, that was Dale Cochoy's idea. The reverse taper that is in that area right now will later be turned into a mid-trunk shari. Rob will help me with that at one of the study group meetings.
