Brown on my bonsai

Hi all,

Thanks to all of the wonderful advise I have obtained from this website, I made my first bonsai tree. I purchased a blue star juniper in a 1 gal container from my local nusery. I chopped major roots off and put it in a smaller bonsai pot. Additionally I pruned branches off to thin it out. I have not finger prined..as I will be doing this in another week or two. There are several small sections where the tips of the green needles are turning brown....

What should I do with the brown needles?? Finger prune it? I know I dont want to cut them off becasue that causes more browning... Should I leave it on the tree? Not too sure...

Also.. I know over watering can casue this browning... I have been very careful with this and feel that it is not an issue here... I am more concerned about the proper removal of the dead needles...

Thanks for your help in advance.

Jeff...
