As for taking them inside... I think you would do these trees more harm then good by digging them up from the ground. Plus if these trees are all indigenous species and you live in NH they will all need a cold rest period in the winter. On thing I would do if they were mine is to cover the base of the tree with mulch to help prevent a freeze thaw cycle and if they are in an area where there is a bunch of wind you may want to try to protect from strong winds.
