Hello, I am a frequent forum reader but have never posted before. I truly enjoy Bonsaitalk and usually check the sight about every day. I am to the point of almost quitting this wonderful hobby that I love simply because of the critter problems I have encountered.
My problem is with tree squirrels. I live in an area that a family of tree squirrels have taken over. I find them digging major holes in the soil and eating bark. There are many items on the market to control ground squirrels, but not tree squirrels. Experts have told me that once tree squirrels occupy an area, they will stay there regardless. The only deterant is to kill them or trap them. If I had the time I would certainly sit outside of my place with a BB gun and take aim

, but I work all day.
I had my trees set out on benches last year so they were very easy for the squirrels to get to, but this year I have the benches set up in a large kennel covered by a shade cloth. I thought the enclosed structure would deter them but they are still getting in and causing problems.
Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I would certainly appreciate it. I am so frustrated
